OUR STORY
Since 2009, Albemarle Paper Supply has provided high quality disposable paper products to businesses in the Triad and Charlotte metro area. Locally owned and operated in Stanly County, we service restaurants, caterers, offices, churches, bakeries, weddings and many more out of our showroom, which is open to the public. We conveniently offer delivery for our wholesale clients in many cities, including Salisbury, Charlotte, Concord, Mooresville, Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Statesville.
Owners and cousins, Nick and John Kalogeromitros, are the sons of brothers Dino and Jimmy Kalogeromitros, local owners of Blue Bay Seafood. Nick and John grew up working in the restaurant industry since they were young boys. They understand the culture and needs of the food industry, so starting a business that provides products to that industry was a natural progression. However, neither Nick nor John had any experience in distribution or warehouse management. Through sheer work ethic, vision, and a drive to learn, the cousins opened their first office in the basement of their shared home with one laptop and some office supplies. They rented their first warehouse space from their fathers; a 5,000 square foot shell of a building with no office and no bathroom, at 1915 East Main Street, in Albemarle. During that first year, while Nick and John learned how to manage their business, Albemarle Paper Supply only delivered to local restaurants. In January 2010, they opened to the public as a retail establishment so local churches and non-profits could also save money by purchasing wholesale paper products.
Over the next few years, business continued to increase via word of mouth due to Albemarle Paper Supply’s commitment to exceptional service to their clients. One by one, Nick and John hired more employees to keep up with the demand from local businesses. In early 2014, it was time to expand to a larger warehouse and in March they purchased their first warehouse at their current location, 735 Henson Street in Albemarle. It is a 25,000 square foot building on 11 acres and the perfect home for the company.
